For over two decades, Highsmith Insurance has offered commercial and personal insurance services in the Southeast. However, Highsmith Insurance required a new website that was able to keep up with their growing firm.

The Challenge

Over the years, this regional, multi-location insurance and brokerage firm realized that the company website had not grown with the firm and was in need of a redesign. Highsmith Insurance had grown to three locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, but the old website did not present the multiple offices well, and prospects weren’t able to easily engage with the company.

Highsmith Insurance’s old website was difficult to navigate, making it hard for clients to learn about the company and engage with them. Additionally, one of Highsmith Insurance’s main concerns was having the ability to customize the text and graphics, which they previously were not able to do.

The Solution

TheeDesign designed and built a new WordPress website for Highsmith Insurance that was responsive and easily viewed across all devices –for the users at home browsing insurance companies on the family computer, to the busy business owner seeking lines of insurance on their tablet or phone.

The website now is designed with a clean look and is easily found online by existing and potential clients. No longer difficult to navigate, visitors to the new website now interact with the company online and browse pages to learn about the staff, the locations, and the firm in general.

The Results

Prospective and existing clients can now find and engage with Highsmith Insurance online, which has been one of the most important changes from the old website.

When asked what improvements had been seen since the launch of the website, Richard Wathern, Personal Lines Manager at Highsmith Insurance, reported, “Our increased traffic to the new website has definitely generated us more leads, especially in the Charleston, SC office. We have received twice as many leads and contacts in the last few months than in the previous year of the old website.”

The new website also added a personable element to the regional insurance firm. The team page features bio information and pictures of the staff, which lets prospects and current customers put a face to the name — an important aspect, since they often communicated with clients over email or by phone.

Our increased traffic to the new website has definitely generated us more leads. We have received twice as many leads than in the previous year. Our project manager made the transition much easier than anticipated. We could go at our own pace, and he was very helpful when it came to answering questions and helping out with WordPress.
